5 And when his armor bearer saw that Sha'ul was dead, he also fell on his sword and died.

6 So Sha'ul died, and his three sons, and all his house died together.

7 And when all the men of Yashar'AL who were in the valley saw that they fled, and that Sha'ul and his sons were dead, they forsook their cities, and fled, and the Palash'tha'ym came and abided in them.

8 And it came to be on the next day, when the Palash'tha'ym came to strip the slain, that they found Sha'ul and his sons fallen on Mount Gal'ba.

9 And they stripped him, and took his head, and his armor, and sent into the land of the Palash'tha'ym all around, to carry the news to their idols, and to the people.

10 And they put his armor in the house of their idols, and fastened his head in the house of Dagun.

11 And when all Yaba'yash Gal'ad heard all that the Palash'tha'ym had done to Sha'ul,

12 and all the valiant men arose, and took away the body of Sha'ul, and the bodies of his sons, and brought them to Yaba'yash, and buried their bones under the oak in Yabash, and fasted seven days.

13 So Sha'ul died for his trespass that he committed against 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), because of the word of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), which he did not keep, and also because he asked counsel of a medium for guidance,

14 and did not inquire of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH): Therefore He killed him, and turned the reign to Dau'yad son of Yasha'ya.

CHAPTER 11

1 Then all Yashar'AL gathered themselves to Dau'yad to Kha'brun (Kha’broon) saying, "Behold, we are your bone and your flesh.

2 Also in times past, even when Sha'ul was king, it was you who led out and brought in Yashar'AL. And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) your ALUAH said to you, 'You shall be shepherd of My people Yashar'AL, and you shall be prince over My people Yashar'AL.'"

3 So all the elders of Yashar'AL came to the king to Kha'brun, and Dau'yad made a Bar'yath (covenant) with them in Kha'brun to the face of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), and they anointed Dau'yad king over Yashar'AL, according to the word of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) by the hand of Shamu'AL.

4 And Dau'yad and all Yashar'AL went to Yaru'shalam, that is Yabus (Yab’oos), and the Yabus'ya, the inhabitants of the land, were there.

5 And the inhabitants of Yabus said to Dau'yad, "You shall not come in here." Nevertheless Dau'yad took the stronghold of Tsa'yun (Tsa'yoon). That is the city of Dau'yad.

6 And Dau'yad said, "Whoever strikes the Yabus'ya first shall be chief and captain." And Yahu'ab son of Tsaru'Yah went up first, and was made chief.

7 And Dau'yad abided in the stronghold, therefore they called it the city of Dau'yad.

8 And he built the city all around, from the Malua even around, and Yahu'ab repaired the rest of the city.

9 And Dau'yad grew greater and greater, for 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) of hosts was with him.

10 Now these are the chief of the mighty men whom Dau'yad had, who showed themselves strong with him in his reign, together with all Yashar'AL, to make him king, according to the word of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) concerning Yashar'AL.

11 And this is the number of the mighty men whom Dau'yad had: Yashab'am, son of a Khakamun’ya, the chief of the thirty, he lifted up his spear against three hundred and killed them at one time.

12 And after him was AL'azar son of Dudu the Akh'ukh'ya, who was one of the three mighty men.

13 He was with Dau'yad in Pas Dama’ym, and there the Palash'tha'ym were gathered together to battle, where there was a plot of ground full of barley, and the people fled from before the Palash'tha'ym.

14 And they stood in the midst of the plot, and defended it, and killed the Palash'tha'ym, and 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) saved them by a great saving.

15 And three of the thirty chief men went down to the rock to Dau'yad, into the cave of Adalam, and the army of the Palash'tha'ym were encamped in the valley of Rapa'ym.

16 And Dau'yad was then in the stronghold, and the garrison of the Palash'tha'ym was then in Bayath Lakham.

17 And Dau'yad longed and said, "Oh that one would give me water to drink of the well of Bayath Lakham, which is by the gate!"

18 And the three broke through the army of the Palash'tha'ym, and drew water out of the well of Bayath Lakham, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to Dau'yad: But Dau'yad would not drink of it, but poured it out to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH),

19 and said, "My ALUAH forbid it me, that I should do this! Shall I drink the blood of these men who have put their beings in jeopardy?" For they risked their beings to bring it. Therefore he would not drink it. The three mighty men did these.

20 And Ab'sha'ya, brother of Yahu'ab, he was chief of the three, for he lifted up his spear against three hundred and killed them, and had a name among the three.

21 Of the three, he was more esteemed than the two, and was made their captain: however he did not attain to the three.

22 Ban'Yah son of Yahu'yada, son of a valiant man from Qabats’AL, who had done mighty deeds, he killed the two Ara’ya’AL of Mu'ab: he went down also and killed a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow.

23 And he killed a Ma'tsara'ya, a man of great stature, five cubits high, and in the Ma'tsara'ya's hand was a spear like a weaver's beam, and he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Ma'tsara'ya's hand, and killed him with his own spear.

24 This is what Ban'Yah son of Yahu'yada did, and had a name among the three mighty men.

25 Behold, he was more esteemed than the thirty, but he did not attain to the three: And Dau'yad placed him over his guard.

26 Also the mighty men of the hosts: Ashah AL brother of Yahu'ab, AL'khanan son of Dudu of Bayath Lakham,

27 Sham’uth the Harura’ya, Khalats the Palun’ya,

28 A’yara son of Aqash the Thaqua’ya, Ab'ya'azar the Anathuth’ya,

29 Sabak’ya the Khashath’ya, Ayal’ya the Akh'ukh'ya,

30 Mah’ra’ya the Natap'tha'ya, Khalad son of Banah the Natap'tha'ya,

31 Ayath’ya son of Rayaba’ya of Gaba’tha of the children of Ban’yaman, Ban'Yah the Para'than'ya,

32 Khura’ya of the brooks of Gash, Ab’ya’AL the Arba’tha’ya,

33 Azam’uth the Bakharum’ya (Bakhar’oom’ya), AL’yakhab’a the Sha’al’ban’ya,

34 sons of Ha’sham the Gazun’ya, Yahu'nathan son of Shagah the Harara’ya,

35 Akh’ya’am son of Shakar the Harara’ya, AL’yapal son of Aur (A’oor),

36 Khapar the Makar’tha’ya, Akh'Yah the Palan’ya,

37 Khatsar’u the Karmal’ya, Nara’ya son of Azaba’ya,

38 Yahu’AL brother of Nathan, Ma’bakhar son of Hagara’ya,

39 Tsalaq the Amun’ya, Nakhara’ya the Barath’ya, the armor bearer of Yahu'ab son of Tsaru'Yah,

40 A'yara the Yathara'ya, Garab the Yathara'ya,

41 Aura’Yah the Khath’ya, Zabad son of Akhal’ya,

42 Ada’yana son of Sha’yaza the Rauban’ya, a chief of the Rauban'ya, and thirty with him,

43 Khanan son of Makah, and Yahu'shapat the Mathan’ya,

44 Aza’ya the Ash’tharath’ya, Shama and Ya'ya'AL (Yuh'ya'AL) sons of Khu’tham the Arara’ya,

45 Yada'ya'AL son of Shamara'ya, and Yahu'kha his brother the Tha’yatsa’ya,

46 AL'ya'AL the Makhu’ym, and Ya’rayaba’ya, and Yahu’shu’Yah, sons of AL’nam, and Yathamah the Mu'ab’ya,

47 AL'ya'AL, and A’u’bad (A’oo’bad), and Ya’asha’ya’AL the Ma’tsaba’Yah.

CHAPTER 12

1 Now these are those who came to Dau'yad to Tsa'yaqalag, while he yet kept himself close because of Sha'ul son of Qayash, and they were among the mighty men, his helpers in war.

2 They were armed with bows, and using both the right hand and the left in slinging stones and in shooting arrows from the bow: They were of Sha'ul's brothers of Ban’yaman.

3 The chief was Akh'ya'azar, then Yahu'ash, sons of the Sham’ah the Gaba’tha’ya, and Yaza’ya’AL, and Palat, sons of Aza'muth, and Barakah, and Yahu’a the Anathath’ya,

4 and Ya’shama’Yah the Gaba'un’ya, a mighty man among the thirty, and over the thirty, and Yaram’Yah, and Ya'Khaza'ya'AL, and Yahu’khanan, and Yahu’zabad the Gadar’tha’ya,

5 AL’a’uza’ya (AL’uh’ooza’ya), and Yara'ya'muth, and Bal’Yah, and Shamar’Yahu, and Shapata’Yahu the Kharupa’ya (Kha’roopa’ya),

6 AL'qanah, and Yasha'Yah, and Azar’AL, and Yahu’azar, and Yashab'am the Qarakh'ym,

7 and Yahu'ALah, and Zabad'Yah, sons of Ya’rakham from Ha’Gadur.

8 And from the Gad'ya there separated themselves to Dau'yad to the stronghold in the wilderness, mighty men of valor, men trained for war, that could handle shield and spear, whose faces were like the faces of lions, and they were as swift as the roes on the mountains,

9 Azar the chief, Abada’Yah the second, AL'ya'ab the third,

10 Ma’shaman’ah the fourth, Yaram’Yah the fifth,

11 Ath’ya the sixth, AL'ya'AL the seventh,

12 Yahu’khanan the eighth, AL’zabad the ninth,

13 Yaram’Yahu the tenth, Ma’kaban’ya the eleventh.

14 These from the sons of Gad were captains of the army: He who was least was equal to one hundred, and the greatest to a thousand.

15 These are those who went over the Yardan in the first month, when it had overflowed all its banks, and they put to flight all them of the valleys, both toward the east, and toward the west.

16 And came from the children of Ban’yaman and Yahudah to the stronghold to Dau'yad.

17 And Dau'yad went out to meet them, and answered them, "If you have come for shalum (peaceably) to me to help me, my heart shall be knit to you, but if you have come to betray me to my adversaries, since there is no wrong in my hands, the ALUAH of our fathers look thereon, and rebuke it."

18 Then The RUKH came on Amash'ya who was chief of the thirty: "We are yours, O Dau'yad, and on your side, O son of Yasha'ya: shalum (peace), shalum (peace) be to you, and shalum (peace) be to your helpers, for Your ALUAH helps you." Then Dau'yad received them, and made them captains of the band.

19 And from Mana'shah there fell away some to Dau'yad, when he came with the Palash'tha'ym against Sha'ul to battle, but they did not help them, for the sovereigns of the Palash'tha'ym sent him away after consultation saying, "He will fall away to his sovereign Sha'ul with our heads."

20 As he went to Tsa'yaqalag, there fell to him of Mana'shah, Adnah, and Yahu'zabad, and Yada'ya'AL, and Mayaka’AL, and Yahu'zabad, and AL'Yahu, and Tsalath’ya, captains of thousands who were of Mana'shah.

21 And they helped Dau'yad against the band of rovers: for they were all mighty men of valor, and were captains in the army.

22 For at day to day men came to Dau'yad to help him, until there was a great army, like the army of ALUAH.

23 And these are the numbers of the heads of those who were armed for war, who came to Dau'yad to Kha'brun, to turn the reign of Sha'ul to him, according to the Word of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH).

24 The sons of Yahudah who bore shield and spear were six thousand and eight hundred, armed for war.

25 From the sons of Shama'un (Shama'oon), mighty men of valor for the war, seven thousand and one hundred.

26 From the sons of Lu'ya four thousand and six hundred.

27 And Yahu'yada was the leader of A'haran, and with him were three thousand and seven hundred,

28 and Tsaduq, a young man mighty of valor, and of his father's house twenty and two captains.

29 And from the sons of Ban’yaman, the brothers of Sha'ul, three thousand: and until then the greatest part of them had kept their allegiance to the house of Sha'ul.

30 And from the sons of Apara'ym twenty thousand eight hundred, mighty men of valor, men of name in their fathers' houses.

31 And from the half tribe of Mana'shah eighteen thousand, who were mentioned by name, to come and make Dau'yad king.

32 And from the sons of Ya'shasha'kar, men who had understanding of the times, to know what Yashar'AL ought to do, the heads of them were two hundred, and all their brothers were at their commandment.

33 From Zabal’un (Zabal’oon), such as were able to go out in the army, who could place the battle in array, with all kinds of instruments of war, fifty thousand, and who could be noble, not of double heart.

34 And from Nap'thal'ya a thousand captains, and with them with shield and spear thirty and seven thousand.

35 And from the Dan’ya who could place the battle in array, twenty and eight thousand, and six hundred.

36 And from Ashar, such as were able to go out in the army, who could place the battle in array, forty thousand.

37 And on the other side of the Yardan, of the Rauban'ya, and the Gad'ya, and of the half tribe of Mana'shah, with all kinds of instruments of war for the battle, a hundred and twenty thousand.

38 All these being men of war, who could order the battle array, came with a complete heart to Kha'brun, to make Dau'yad king over all Yashar'AL: And all the rest also of Yashar'AL were of one heart to make Dau'yad king.

39 And they were there with Dau'yad three days, eating and drinking, for their brothers had made preparation for them.

40 And also those who were near to them, as far as Ya'shasha'kar and Zabal’un (Zabal’oon) and Nap'thal'ya, brought bread on donkeys, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen, food of meal, cakes of figs, and clusters of raisins, and wine, and oil, and cattle, and sheep in abundance: For there was joy in Yashar'AL.

CHAPTER 13

1 And Dau'yad consulted with the captains of thousands and of hundreds, even with every leader.

2 And Dau'yad said to all the assembly of Yashar'AL, "If it is good to you, and if it is of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) our ALUAH, let us send abroad everywhere to our brothers who are left in all the land of Yashar'AL, with whom the ka'ahn'ym (priests) and Lu'ym are in their cities of their open lands, that they gather themselves to us,

3 and let us bring again the Ark of our ALUAH to us. For we did not seek it in the days of Sha'ul."

4 All the assembly said that they would do so, for the word was right in the eyes of all the people.

5 So Dau'yad assembled all Yashar'AL together, the Sha’yakhur from Ma'tsara'ym even to the entrance of Khamath, to bring the Ark of ALUAH from Qara'yath Ya’ara'ym.

6 And Dau'yad went up, and all Yashar'AL, to Bal’tha’ah, to Qara'yath Ya’ara'ym, which belonged to Yahudah, to bring up from there the Ark of ALUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) that sits the karub'ym, that is called by The Name.

7 And they carried the Ark of ALUAH on a new wagon out of the house of Ab'ya'nadab: and Aza and Akh'yu drove the cart.

8 And Dau'yad and all Yashar'AL played to the face of ALUAH with all their might, even with songs, and with harps, and with stringed instruments, and with tambourines, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.

9 And when they came to the threshing floor of Kaya’dan, Aza put forth his hand to hold the Ark, for the oxen stumbled.

10 Then the anger of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) was kindled against Aza, and He struck him, because he put forth his hand to the Ark, and there he died to the face of ALUAH.

11 And Dau'yad was displeased because 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) had broken forth on Aza, and he called that place Parats Aza, to this day.

12 And Dau'yad was afraid of ALUAH that day saying, "How shall I bring the Ark of ALUAH home to me?"

13 So Dau'yad did not move the Ark to him into the city of Dau'yad, but carried it aside into the house of Abad-Adam the Gath'ya.

14 And the Ark of ALUAH remained with the family of Abad-Adam in his house three months: And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) Barak the house of Abad-Adam, and all that he had.

CHAPTER 14

1 And Khuram king of Tsar sent messengers to Dau'yad, and cedar trees, and masons, and carpenters, to build him a house.

2 And Dau'yad perceived that 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) had established him king over Yashar'AL, for his reign was exalted on high, for His people Yashar'AL's sake.

3 And Dau'yad took more wives at Yaru'shalam, and Dau'yad became the father of more sons and daughters.

4 And these are the names of the children whom he had in Yaru'shalam: Shamua, and Shubab, Nathan, and Shalamah,

5 and Ya’bakhar, and AL’ya’shua, and AL’palat,

6 and Nagah, and Napag, and Yapa’ya,

7 and AL’ya’shama, and Bal’yada, and AL’ya’palat.

8 And when the Palash'tha'ym heard that Dau'yad was anointed king over all Yashar'AL, all the Palash'tha'ym went up to seek Dau'yad: And Dau'yad heard of it, and went out against them.

9 Now the Palash'tha'ym had come and made a raid in the valley of Rapa'ym.

10 And Dau'yad inquired of ALUAH saying, "Shall I go up against the Palash'tha'ym? Will You give them into my hand?" And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) said to him, "Go up, for I will give them into your hand."

11 So they came up to Ba'al Parats’ym, and Dau'yad struck them there, and Dau'yad said, ALUAH has broken my enemies by my hand, like the breach of waters. Therefore they called the name of that place Ba'al Parats’ym.

12 And they left their idols there, and Dau'yad gave commandment, and they were burned with fire.

13 And the Palash'tha'ym yet again made a raid in the valley.

14 And Dau'yad inquired again of ALUAH, and ALUAH said to him, "You shall not go up after them. Turn away from them, and come on them over against the mulberry trees.

15And it shall be, when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then you shall go out to battle, for ALUAH has gone out before you to strike the army of the Palash'tha'ym."

16 And Dau'yad did as ALUAH commanded him: And they struck the army of the Palash'tha'ym from Gaba'un (Gaba'oon) even to Gazar’ah.

17 And the name of Dau'yad went out into all lands, and 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) brought the fear of him upon all the nations.

CHAPTER 15

1 And he built for himself houses in the city of Dau'yad, and he prepared a place for the Ark of ALUAH, and pitched for it a tent.

2 Then Dau'yad said, "No one ought to carry the Ark of ALUAH but the Lu'ym. For 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) has chosen them to carry the Ark of ALUAH, and to serve Him forever."

3 And Dau'yad assembled all Yashar'AL at Yaru'shalam, to bring up the Ark of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) to its place that he prepared for it.

4 And Dau'yad gathered together sons of A'haran, and the Lu'ym:

5 for sons of Qa'ah'th, Aura'ya'AL the chief, and his brothers a hundred and twenty,

6 for sons of Marara'ya, Asha'Yah the chief, and his brothers two hundred and twenty,

7 for sons of Gar'shum (Gar'shoom), Yahu'AL the chief, and his brothers a hundred and thirty,

8 for sons of AL'ya'tsapan, Shama'Yah the chief, and his brothers two hundred,

9 for sons of Kha'brun , AL'ya'AL the chief, and his brothers eighty,

10 for sons of Aza'ya'AL, Am'ya'nadab the chief, and his brothers a hundred and twelve.

11 And Dau'yad called for Tsaduq, and for Ab'yathar the ka'ahn'ym (priests), and for the Lu'ym, for Aura'ya'AL, Asha'Yah, and Yahu'AL, Shama'Yah, and AL'ya'AL, and Am'ya'nadab,

12 and said to them, "You are the heads of the fathers' of the Lu'ym. Make yourselves apart, both you and your brothers, that you bring up the Ark of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), The ALUAH OF Yashar'AL, to the place that I have prepared for it.

13 For because you did not carry it at first, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) Our ALUAH made broke out against us, because we did not seek Him according to the ordinance."

14 So the ka'ahn'ym (priests) and the Lu'ym made themselves apart to bring up the Ark of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), The ALUAH OF Yashar'AL.

15 And the children of the Lu'ym bore the Ark of ALUAH on their shoulders with the poles thereon, as Mashah commanded according to the word of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH).

16 And Dau'yad spoke to the chief of the Lu'ym to appoint their brothers the singers, with instruments of music, stringed instruments and harps and cymbals, sounding aloud and lifting up the voice with joy.

17 So the Lu'ym appointed Ha'yaman son of Yahu'AL, and of his brothers, Asap son of Barak'Yahu, and of sons of Marara'ya their brothers, Ayathan son of Qusha’Yahu,

18 and with them their brothers of the second degree, Zakara'Yahu, Ban, and Ya’aza’ya’AL, and Sham'yaram'uth, and Ya'khaya'AL, and An'ya, AL'ya'ab, and Ban'Yahu, and Ma'asha'Yahu, and Ma'tha'tha'Yahu, and AL'ya'palah'u, and Maqan'Yahu, and Abad-Adam, and Ya'ya'AL (Yuh'ya'AL), the doorkeepers.

19 So the singers, Ha'yaman, Asap, and Ayathan with cymbals of bronze to sound aloud,

20 and Zakara'Yahu, and Aza'ya'AL, and Sham'yaram'uth, and Ya'khaya'AL, and An'ya, and AL'ya'ab, and Ma'asha'Yahu, and Ban'Yahu, with stringed instruments unto Al’muth (Uhl’mooth),

21 and Ma'tha'tha'Yahu, and AL'ya'palah'u, and Maqan'Yahu, and Abad-Adam, and Ya'ya'AL (Yuh'ya'AL), and Azaz'Yahu, with harps tuned to the eight stringed lyre, to lead.

22 And Kanan'Yahu, chief of the Lu'ym, was over the song: he instructed about the song, because he was skillful.

23 And Barak'Yahu and AL'qanah were doorkeepers for the Ark.

24 And Shaban’Yahu, and Yahu'shapat, and Nathan'AL, and Amash'ya, and Zakara'Yahu, and Ban'Yahu, and AL'ya'azar, the ka'ahn'ym (priests), did blow the trumpets to the face of the Ark of ALUAH: And Abad-Adam and Ya'kha'Yah were doorkeepers for the Ark.

25 So Dau'yad, and the elders of Yashar'AL, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the Ark of the Bar'yath (covenant) of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) out of the house of Abad-Adam with joy.

26 And it came to be, when ALUAH helped the Lu'ym who bore the Ark of the Bar'yath (covenant) of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), that they offered seven bulls and seven rams.

27 And Dau'yad was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Lu'ym who bore the Ark, and the singers, and Kanan'Yahu the sovereign of the song, the singers: And Dau'yad had on him a garment of linen.

28 Thus all Yashar'AL brought up the Ark of the Bar'yath (covenant) of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, sounding aloud with stringed instruments and harps.

29 And it came to be, as the Ark of the Bar'yath (covenant) of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) came to the city of Dau'yad, that Maya'kal daughter of Sha'ul looked out at the window, and saw king Dau'yad dancing and playing, and she despised him in her heart.

CHAPTER 16

1 And they brought in the Ark of ALUAH, and put it in the midst of the tent that Dau'yad had pitched for it: and they offered burnt offerings and shalam’ym (peace) offerings to the face of ALUAH.

2 And when Dau'yad had made an end of offering the burnt offering and the shalam’ym (peace) offerings, he Barak the people in The Name OF 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH).

3 And he shared to everyone of Yashar'AL, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a portion, and a cake of raisins.

4 And he appointed certain of the Lu'ym to serve to the face of the Ark of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), and to celebrate and to thank and praise 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), The ALUAH OF Yashar'AL:

5 And Asap the chief, and second to him Zakara'Yahu, Ya'ya'AL (Yuh'ya'AL), and Sham'yaram'uth, and Ya'khaya'AL, and Ma'tha'tha'Yahu, and AL'ya'ab, and Ban'Yahu, and Abad-Adam, and Ya'ya'AL (Yuh'ya'AL), with stringed instruments and with harps, and Asap with cymbals, sounding aloud,

6 and Ban'Yahu and Ya'Khaza'ya'AL the ka'ahn'ym (priests) with trumpets continually, to the face of the Ark of the Bar'yath (covenant) of ALUAH.

7 Then on that day Dau'yad first ordained to give thanks to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), by the hand of Asap and his brothers.

8 Oh give thanks to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH). Call on His Name. Make His doings known among the peoples.

9 Sing to Him. Sing praises to Him. Tell of all His marvelous works.

10 Praise in His Made Apart Name! Let the heart of those who seek 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) rejoice.

11 Seek 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) and His strength. Seek His face forever more!

12 Remember His marvelous works that He has done, His wonders, and the right rulings of His mouth,

13 O seed of Yashar'AL His servant, O children of Ya'aqab, His chosen ones.

14 HE IS 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) OUR ALUAH. His right rulings are in all the earth.

15 Remember His Bar'yath (covenant) forever, the Word that He commanded to a thousand generations,

16 That He made with Abara'ahm, His oath to Ya'tsakhaq.

17 He confirmed the same to Ya'aqab for a statute, and to Yashar'AL for an everlasting Bar'yath (covenant),

18 Saying, "I will give you the land of Kanan, the lot of your inheritance,"

19 when you were but a few men in number, few indeed, and foreigners were in it.

20 And they went about from nation to nation, from one reign to another people.

21 He allowed no man to do them wrong. And He reproved kings for their sakes,

22 "Do not strike with My anointed ones! Do with My nab’ya’ya (prophets) no harm!"

23 Sing to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), all the earth! Display His saving from day to day.

24 Declare His esteem among the nations, and His marvelous works among all the peoples.

25 For great is 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), and greatly to be praised. He also is to be feared above all mighty ones.

26 For all the idols of the peoples are idols, but 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) made the shama'ym.

27 Splendor and beauty are to His face. Strength and gladness are in His place.

28 Ascribe to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), O clans of the peoples, ascribe to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) esteem and strength!

29 Ascribe to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) the esteem due to His Name. Bring an offering, and come to His Face. Worship 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) in Made Apart array.

30 Tremble before Him, all the earth. The world also is established that it cannot be moved.

31 Let the shama'ym be glad, and let the earth rejoice! Let them say among the nations, "𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) reigns!"

32 Let the sea roar, and its fullness! Let the field exult, and all that is therein!

33 Then the trees of the forest will sing for joy out from the face of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), for He comes to judge the earth.

34 Oh give thanks to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), for He is good, for His loving kindness endures forever.

35 Say: "Save us, O ALUAH of our saving! Gather us together and rescue us from the nations, to give thanks to Your Made Apart Name, to boast in Your praise."

36 Baruk be 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), The ALUAH OF Yashar'AL, from everlasting even to everlasting. And all the people said “So Be It” and praised 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH).

37 So he left there, before the Ark of the Bar'yath (covenant) of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), Asap and his brothers, to serve before the Ark continually, as every day's work required,

38 and Abad-Adam with their brothers, sixty and eight, Abad-Adam also son of Yada’ya’thun (Yada’ya’thoon)* and Khasah to be doorkeepers,

*Note The Masoretic difference with his name vs other places within this Book

39 and Tsaduq the ka'ahn (priest), and his brothers the ka'ahn'ym (priests), to the face of the tabernacle of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) in the high place that was at Gaba'un (Gaba'oon),

40 to offer burnt offerings to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) on the altar of burnt offering continually rising and evening, even according to all that is written in the Thur’ath of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) that He commanded to Yashar'AL,

41 and with them Ha'yaman and Yadu'thun (Yadu'thoon), and the rest who were chosen, who were mentioned by name, to give thanks to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), because His loving kindness endures forever,

42 and with them Ha'yaman and Yadu'thun (Yadu'thoon): trumpets and cymbals for those that should sound aloud, and instruments for the songs of ALUAH, and sons of Yadu'thun (Yadu'thoon) to be at the gate.

43 And all the people departed every man to his house: And Dau'yad returned to Barak his house.

CHAPTER 17

1 And it came to be, when Dau'yad abided in his house, that Dau'yad said to Nathan the nab’ya (prophet), "Behold, I abide in a house of cedar, but the Ark of the Bar'yath (covenant) of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) is under curtains."

2 And Nathan said to Dau'yad, "Do all that is in your heart, for ALUAH is with you."

3 And it came to be the same night, that the Word of ALUAH came to Nathan saying,

4 "Go and tell Dau'yad My servant, 'Thus says 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), "You shall not build Me A House to abide in,

5 For I have not abided in a House since the day that I brought up Yashar'AL, to this day, but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tent to another.

6 In all places in where I have walked with all Yashar'AL, did I speak a Word with any of the judges of Yashar'AL, whom I commanded to be shepherd of My people saying, 'Why have you not built Me a House of cedar?'"'

7 "Now therefore, you shall tell My servant Dau'yad, 'Thus says 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) of hosts, "I took you from the sheep pen, from following the sheep, that you should be prince over My people Yashar'AL.

8 And I have been with you wherever you have gone, and have cut off all your enemies from before you. And I will make you a name, like the name of the great ones who are in the earth.

9 And I will appoint a place for My people Yashar'AL, and will plant them, that they abide in their own place, and be moved no more, neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the first,

10 and from the day that I commanded judges to be over My people Yashar'AL, and I will subdue all your enemies. Moreover I tell you that 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) will build you a House.

11 And it shall be, when your days are fulfilled that you must go to be with your fathers, that I will place up your seed after you, who shall be of your sons, and I will establish his reign.

12 He shall build Me A House, and I will establish his throne forever.

13 I will be his Father, and he shall be My son. And I will not take My loving kindness away from him, as I took it from him that was to your face,

14 But I will settle him in My House and in My reign forever. And his throne shall be established forever.'"

15 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so Nathan spoke to Dau'yad.

16 Then Dau'yad the king went in, and sat to the face of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), and he said, "Who am I, O 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) ALUAH, and what is my house, that You have brought me thus far?

17 And this was a small matter in Your eyes, O ALUAH, but You have spoken of your servant's house for a great while to come, and have respected me according to the estate of an exalted man, O 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) ALUAH.

18 What can Dau'yad say yet more to You concerning the splendor that is done to Your servant? For You know Your servant.

19 O 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), for Your servant's sake, and according to Your own heart, You have worked all this greatness, to make known all these great matters.

20 O 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), there is none like You, neither is there any ALUAH besides You, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

21 And who in the earth is like Your people Yashar'AL, whom ALUAH went to redeem to Himself for a people, to make You A Name by greats and awesomes, in driving out nations from before Your people, whom You redeem out of Ma'tsara'ym?

22 For You have given Your people to You, for a people forever, and You, O 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), became their ALUAH.

23 And now, O 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), let the Word that You have spoken concerning Your servant, and concerning his house, be established forever, and do as You have spoken.

24 Let Your Name be established and great forever saying, '𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) of hosts is the ALUAH of Yashar'AL, even an ALUAH to Yashar'AL. And the house of Dau'yad Your servant is established to Your face.’

25 For You, O MY ALUAH, have revealed to Your servant that You will build him a House. Therefore Your servant has found courage to pray to Your face.

26 And now, O 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), You Are ALUAH, and have promised this the goodness to Your servant.

27 And now it has pleased You to Barak the house of Your servant, that it continues forever to Your face, for You, O 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), have Barak’ath, and it is Barak to forever."

CHAPTER 18

1 And after this it came to be, that Dau'yad struck the Palash'tha'ym, and subdued them, and took Gath and its towns out of the hand of the Palash'tha'ym.

2 And he struck Mu'ab, and Mu'ab became servants to Dau'yad and brought tribute.

3 And Dau'yad struck Hadad'Azar king of Tsubah to Khamath, as he went to establish his rule by the River Parath.

4 And Dau'yad took from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen, and Dau'yad hamstrung all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for a hundred chariots.

5 And when the Aram of Damashaq came to help Hadad'Azar king of Tsubah, Dau'yad struck in Aram twenty and two thousand men.

6 Then Dau'yad put in Aram of Damashaq, and Aram became servants to Dau'yad, and brought tribute. And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) gave saving to Dau'yad wherever he went.

7 And Dau'yad took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadad'Azar, and brought them to Yaru'shalam.

8 And from Taba’khath and from Kun, cities of Hadad'Azar, Dau'yad took very much bronze that Shalamah made the bronze sea, and the columns, and the vessels of bronze.

9 And when Tha’u (Th’uh’oo) king of Khamath heard that Dau'yad had struck all the army of Hadad'Azar king of Tsubah,

10 Then he sent Haduram his son to king Dau'yad, to greet to him, and to Barak him, because he had fought against Hadad'Azar and struck him, for Hadad'Azar had wars with Tha’u, and all kinds of vessels of gold and silver and bronze.

11 These also did king Dau'yad dedicate to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), with the silver and the gold that he carried away from all the nations, from Adum, and from Mu'ab, and from the children of Amun, and from the Palash'tha'ym, and from Amalaq.

12 And Ab'sha'ya son of Tsaru'Yah struck Adum in the Valley of Salt eighteen thousand.

13 And he put garrisons in Adum, and all of Adum became servants to Dau'yad. And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) gave saving to Dau'yad wherever he went.

14 And Dau'yad reigned over all Yashar'AL, and he executed right ruling and righteousness to all his people.

15 And Yahu'ab son of Tsaru'Yah was over the army, and Yahu’shapat son of Akh'ya'lud (Akh'ya'lood) was recorder,

16 and Tsaduq son of Akh’ya’tub, and Ab’ya’malak son of Ab'yathar, were ka'ahn'ym (priests), and Shu’sha was scribe,

17 and Ban'Yahu son of Yahu'yada was over the Karath’ya and the Palath’ya, and sons of Dau'yad were chief to the hand of the king.

CHAPTER 19

1 And it came to be after this, that Nakhash king of the children of Amun died, and his son reigned in his place.

2 And Dau'yad said, "I will show kindness to Khanun (Kha'noon) son of Nakhash, because his father showed kindness to me." So Dau'yad sent messengers to comfort him concerning his father. And Dau'yad's servants came into the land of the children of Amun to Khanun (Kha'noon), to comfort him.

3 But the princes of the children of Amun said to Khanun (Kha'noon), "Do you think that Dau'yad splendors your father, in that he has sent comforters to you? Have not his servants come to you to search, to overthrow, and to spy out the land?"

4 So Khanun (Kha'noon) took Dau'yad's servants, and shaved them, and cut off their garments in the middle, even to their buttocks, and sent them away.

5 And went and told to Dau'yad how the men were served. And he sent to meet them, for the men were greatly ashamed. And the king said, "Stay in Yara’khu (Yara’khoo) until your beards have grown, and then return."

6 And when the children of Amun saw that they had made themselves odious to Dau'yad, Khanun (Kha'noon) and the children of Amun sent a thousand talents of silver to hire them chariots and horsemen out of Aram Nahara’ym, and from Aram’Makah, and from Tsubah.

7 So they hired for themselves thirty and two thousand chariots, and the king of Makah and his people, who came and encamped to the face of Maya’daba. And the children of Amun gathered themselves together from their cities, and came to battle.

8 And when Dau'yad heard of it, he sent Yahu'ab, and all the army of the mighty men.

9 And the children of Amun came out, and put the battle in array at the gate of the city: And the kings who had come were by themselves in the field.

10 And when Yahu'ab saw that the battle was placed against him before and behind, he chose of all the choice men of Yashar'AL, and put them in array against the Aram.

11 And the rest of the people he committed into the hand of Ab'sha'ya his brother, and they put themselves in array against the children of Amun.

12 And he said, "If the Aram are too strong for me, then you are to help me, but if the children of Amun are too strong for you, then I will help you.

13 Be courageous, and let us be strong for our people, and for the cities of our ALUAH. And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) do what is good in His eyes.”

14 So Yahu'ab and the people who were with him drew near to the face of the Aram to the battle, and they fled before him.

15 When the children of Amun saw that the Aram had fled, they also fled before Ab'sha'ya his brother, and entered into the city. Then Yahu'ab came to Yaru'shalam.

16 And when the Aram saw that they were defeated by Yashar'AL, they sent messengers, and drew forth the Aram who were beyond the River, with Shu'pak the captain of the army of Hadad'Azar at their head.

17 And it was told Dau'yad, and he gathered all Yashar'AL together, and passed over the Yardan, and came on them, and put the battle in array against them. So when Dau'yad had put the battle in array against the Aram, they fought with him.

18 And the Aram fled from the face of Yashar'AL, and Dau'yad killed of the Aram seven thousand chariots, and forty thousand footmen, and killed Shu'pak the captain of the army.

19 And when the servants of Hadad'Azar saw that they were defeated by Yashar'AL, they made amends with Dau'yad and served him: Neither would the Aram help the children of Amun any more.

CHAPTER 20

1 And it came to be, at the time of the turn of the year, at the time when kings go out, that Yahu'ab led forth the army, and destroyed the country of the children of Amun, and came and besieged Rabah. But Dau'yad stayed at Yaru'shalam. And Yahu'ab struck Rabah, and overthrew it.

2 And Dau'yad took the crown of their king from off his head, and found it to weigh a talent of gold, and there were precious stones in it, and it was placed on Dau'yad's head: And he brought forth the spoil of the city, exceeding much.

3 And he brought forth the people who were therein, and cut with saws, and with iron picks, and with axes. Dau'yad did so to all the cities of the children of Amun. And Dau'yad and all the people returned to Yaru'shalam.

4 And it came to be after this, that there arose war at Gazar with the Palash'tha'ym: Then Sabak'ya the Khashath'ya killed Sapa’ya, of sons of the giants, and they were subdued.

5 And there was again war with the Palash'tha'ym, and AL'khanan son of Ya’ayar killed Lakham’ya brother of Gal’yath the Gath'ya, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam.

6 And there was again war at Gath, where there was a man of great stature, whose fingers and toes were twenty and four, six and six, and he also was born to the giant.

7 And when he defied Yashar'AL, Yahu'nathan son of Shama’a, Dau'yad's brother, killed him.

8 These were born to the giant in Gath, and they fell by the hand of Dau'yad, and by the hand of his servants.

CHAPTER 21

1 And Shatan stood up against Yashar'AL, and moved Dau'yad to number Yashar'AL.

2 And Dau'yad said to Yahu'ab and to the princes of the people, "Go, number Yashar'AL from Ba’ar Shaba even to Dan, and bring me word, that I know the sum of them."

3 And Yahu'ab said, "𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) make His people a hundred times as many as they are. But, my sovereign the king, are they not all my sovereign's servants? Why does my sovereign require this matter? Why will he be a cause of guilt to Yashar'AL?"

4 Nevertheless the king's word prevailed against Yahu'ab. Therefore Yahu'ab departed, and went throughout all Yashar'AL, and came to Yaru'shalam.

5 And Yahu'ab gave up the sum of the numbering of the people to Dau'yad. And all those of Yashar'AL were a million and a hundred thousand men who drew sword: And Yahudah, four hundred and seventy thousand men who drew sword.

6 But he did not count Lu'ya and Ban’yaman among them, for the king's word was loathsome to Yahu'ab.

7 And ALUAH was displeased with this matter, therefore He struck Yashar'AL.

8 And Dau'yad said to ALUAH, "I have transgressed greatly, in that I have done this matter. But now, put away, I beg you, the iniquity of your servant, for I have done very foolishly."

9 ‪And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) spoke to Gad, Dau'yad's seer saying,

10 "Go and speak to Dau'yad saying, 'Thus says 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), "I offer to you three. Choose one of them, that I do it to you.’”

11 So Gad came to Dau'yad and said to him, "Thus says 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), ‘Choose to you:

12 either three years of famine, or three months to be consumed before your foes, while the sword of your enemies overtakes you, or else three days the sword of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), even pestilence in the land, and the Malak (messenger) of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) destroying throughout all the borders of Yashar'AL. Now therefore consider what answer I shall return to Him who sent me.'"

13 And Dau'yad said to Gad, "I am in distress. Let me fall, I pray, into the hand of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), for His compassions are very great. Let me not fall into the hand of man."

14 So 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) sent a pestilence on Yashar'AL, and seventy thousand men of Yashar'AL fell.

15 And ALUAH sent a messenger to Yaru'shalam to destroy it. As he was about to destroy, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) saw, and He relented of the disaster, and said to the destroying messenger, "It is enough, now stay your hand." And the messenger of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) was standing by the threshing floor of Arnan the Yabus'ya.

16 And Dau'yad lifted up his eyes, and saw the messenger of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) standing between earth and the sky, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Yaru'shalam. Then Dau'yad and the elders, clothed in sackcloth, fell on their faces.

17 And Dau'yad said to ALUAH, "Is it not I who commanded the people to be numbered? It is even I who have transgressed and done very wickedly, but these sheep, what have they done? Please let Your Hand, O 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) My ALUAH, be against me, and against my father's house, but not against Your people, that they should be plagued."

18 Then the messenger of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) commanded Gad to tell Dau'yad that Dau'yad should go up, and raise an altar to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) in the threshing floor of Arnan the Yabus'ya.

19 And Dau'yad went up at the saying of Gad that he spoke in The Name OF 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH).

20 And Arnan turned and saw the messenger, and his four sons who were with him hid themselves. Now Arnan was threshing wheat.

21 And Dau'yad came to Arnan. Arnan looked and saw Dau'yad, and went out of the threshing floor, and bowed himself to Dau'yad with his face to the ground.

22 Then Dau'yad said to Arnan, "Give me the place of this threshing floor, that I build thereon an altar to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH). You shall sell it to me for the full price, that the plague be stopped from afflicting the people."

23 And Arnan said to Dau'yad, "Take it for yourself, and let my sovereign the king do that which is good in his eyes. Behold, I give the oxen for burnt offerings, and the threshing instruments for wood, and the wheat for the meal offering. I give it all."

24 And King Dau'yad said to Arnan, "No, but I will most certainly buy it for the full price. For I will not take that which is yours for 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), nor offer a burnt offering without cost."

25 So Dau'yad gave to Arnan six hundred shaqal’ya of gold by weight for the place.

26 And Dau'yad built an altar to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) there, and offered burnt offerings and shalam’ym (peace) offerings, and called on 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), and He answered him from the sky by fire on the altar of burnt offering.

27 And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) commanded the messenger, and he put up his sword again into its sheath.

28 At that time, when Dau'yad saw that 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) had answered him in the threshing floor of Arnan the Yabus'ya, then he slaughtered there.

29 For the tabernacle of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) that Mashah made in the wilderness, and the altar of burnt offering, were at that time in the high place at Gaba'un (Gaba'oon).

30 But Dau'yad could not go before it to inquire of ALUAH, for he was afraid because of the sword of the messenger of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH).

CHAPTER 22

1 Then Dau'yad said, "This is the House of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) ALUAH, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Yashar'AL."

2 And Dau'yad gave orders to gather together the foreigners who were in the land of Yashar'AL, and he appointed masons to cut worked stones to build the House of ALUAH.

3 And Dau'yad prepared iron in abundance for the nails for the doors of the gates, and for the couplings, and bronze in abundance without weight,

4 and cedar trees without number: For the Tsa’yadan’ym and they of Tsar brought cedar trees in abundance to Dau'yad.

5 And Dau'yad said, "Shalamah my son is young and tender, and the House that is to be built for 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) must be exceedingly magnificent, of Name and of esteem throughout all lands. I will therefore make preparation for it." So Dau'yad prepared abundantly before his death.

6 Then he called for Shalamah his son, and commanded him to build a House for 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), The ALUAH OF Yashar'AL.

7 And Dau'yad said to Shalamah his son, "As for me, it was in my heart to build a house to The Name OF 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) MY ALUAH.

8 But the Word of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) came to me saying, 'You have shed blood abundantly, and have made great wars. You shall not build a House to My Name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in My sight.

9 Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of rest. And I will give him rest from all his enemies all around, for his name shall be Shalamah, and I will give shalum (peace) and quietness to Yashar'AL in his days.

10 He shall build a House for My Name, and he shall be My son, and I will be his Father, and I will establish the throne of his reign over Yashar'AL for ever.'

11 Now my son, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) be with you and prosper you, and build the House of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) Your ALUAH, as He has spoken concerning you.

12 Only, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) give you discretion and understanding, and put you in charge of Yashar'AL, that so you keep the Thur’ath OF 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) Your ALUAH.

13 Then you will prosper, if you observe to do the statutes and the ordinances that 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) gave Mashah concerning Yashar'AL. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, neither be dismayed.

14 Now behold, in my affliction I have prepared for the house of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) a hundred thousand talents of gold, a million talents of silver, and bronze and iron without weight, for it is in abundance. And I have also prepared timber and stone, and you add to them.

15 And there are also workmen with you for abundance, cutters and workers of stone and timber, and all kinds of men who are skillful in every kind of work:

16 of the gold, the silver, and the bronze, and the iron, there is no number. Arise and act, and 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) be with you."

17 And Dau'yad also commanded all the princes of Yashar'AL to help Shalamah his son saying,

18 "Is not 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) Your ALUAH with you? Has He not given you rest on every side? For He has given the inhabitants of the land into my hand, and the land is subdued before 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), and before His people.

19 Now give your heart and your being to seek after 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) Your ALUAH. Arise therefore, and build the Made Apart Place OF 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) ALUAH, to bring the Ark of the Bar'yath (covenant) of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), and the Made Apart vessels of ALUAH, into the House that is to be built to The Name OF 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH)."

CHAPTER 23

1 Now Dau'yad was old and full of days, and he made Shalamah his son king over Yashar'AL.

2 And he gathered together all the princes of Yashar'AL, with the ka'ahn'ym (priests) and the Lu'ym.

3 And the Lu'ym were numbered from thirty years old and upward: And their number by their polls, man by man, was thirty and eight thousand.

4 "Of these, twenty and four thousand were to oversee the work of the house of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), six thousand were officers and judges,

5 And four thousand were doorkeepers, and four thousand praised 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) with the instruments that I made, for giving praise."

6 And Dau'yad divided them into divisions according to sons of Lu'ya: To Gar'shun (Gar'shoon), Qa'ah'th, and Marara'ya.

7 For the Gar'shan'ya: Ladan and Shama'ya.

8 Sons of Ladan: Ya'khaya'AL the chief, and Zatham, and Yahu'AL, three.

9 Sons of Shama'ya: Shalam'uth , and Khaza'ya'AL, and Haran, three. These were the heads of the fathers' of Ladan.

10 And sons of Shama'ya: Yakhath, Zayana, and Ya’ush (Ya’oosh), and Bara'ya'ah. These four were sons of Shama'ya.

11 And Yakhath was the chief, and Zayazah the second: But Ya’ush (Ya’oosh) and Bara'ya'ah did not have many sons, therefore they became a fathers' house in one reckoning.

12 Sons of Qa'ah'th: Am'ram, Ya'tsa'ahr, Kha'brun, and Aza'ya'AL, four.

13 Sons of Am'ram: A'haran and Mashah, and A'haran was separated, that he should make apart the most Made Aparts, he and his sons forever, to burn incense to the face of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), to serve Him, and to Barak in His Name forever.

14 But as for Mashah man of ALUAH, his sons were named among the tribe of Lu'ya.

15 Sons of Mashah: Gar'shum (Gar'shoom) and AL'ya'azar.

16 Sons of Gar'shum (Gar'shoom): Shabu'AL the chief.

17 And sons of AL'ya'azar were: Rakhaba'Yah the chief, and AL'ya'azar had no other sons, but sons of Rakhaba'Yah were very many.

18 Sons of Ya'tsa'ahr: Shalam’yath the chief.

19 Sons of Kha'brun: Yara'Yahu the chief, Amara'Yah the second, Ya'Khaza'ya'AL the third, and Yaqam'am the fourth.

20 Sons of Aza'ya'AL: Maya’kah the chief, and Yasha’Yah the second.

21 Sons of Marara'ya: Makhal'ya and Mush'ya (Moosh'ya). Sons of Makhal'ya: AL'azar and Qayash.

22 And AL'azar died, and had no sons, but daughters only: and their brothers sons of Qayash took them.

23 Sons of Mush'ya (Moosh'ya): Makhal'ya, and Adar, and Yara'muth (Yara'mooth), three.

24 These were sons of Lu'ya after their fathers' houses, even the heads of the fathers' houses of those who were counted individually, in the number of names by their polls, who did the work for the service of the House of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), from twenty years old and upward.

25 For Dau'yad said, "𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), The ALUAH OF Yashar'AL, has given rest to His people, and He abides in Yaru'shalam forever.

26 And also the Lu'ym will no longer need to carry the tabernacle and all its vessels for its service."

27 For by the last words of Dau'yad sons of Lu'ya were numbered, from twenty years old and upward.

28 For their office was to wait on sons of A'haran for the service of the House of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), in the courts, and in the rooms, and in the purifying of all Made Aparts, even the work of the service of the House of ALUAH,

29 For the show bread also, and for the fine flour for a meal offering, whether of unleavened wafers, or of that what is baked in the pan, or of that what is mixed, and for all kinds of measure and size,

30 And to stand every rising to thank and praise 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), and also in the evening,

31 And to offer all burnt offerings to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) for Shabath’uth, for new months, and for appointed times, in number according to the ordinance concerning them, continually to the face of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH),

32 And that they keep the duty of the Tent of Meeting, and the duty of the Made Apart place, and the duty of sons of A'haran their brothers, for the service of the House of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH).

CHAPTER 24

1 And these were the divisions of sons of A'haran. Sons of A'haran: Nadab and Ab'Yahu'a, AL'azar and Aya'thamar.

2 But Nadab and Ab'Yahu'a died before their father and had no children: Therefore AL'azar and Aya'thamar executed the ka'ahn (priest)'s office.

3 And Dau'yad with Tsaduq of sons of AL'azar, and Akh'ya'malak from the sons of Aya'thamar, divided them according to their ordering in their service.

4 And there were more chief men found of sons of AL'azar than of sons of Aya'thamar, and they were divided: from the sons of AL'azar there were sixteen, heads of fathers' houses, and from the sons of Aya'thamar, according to their fathers' houses, eight.

5 Thus were they divided impartially by lots, for there were princes of the Made Apart Place, and princes of ALUAH, both from the sons of AL'azar, and with the sons of Aya'thamar.

6 And Shama'Yah son of Nathan'AL the scribe, who was of the Lu'ym, wrote them to the face of the king, and the princes, and Tsaduq the ka'ahn (priest), and Akh'ya'malak son of Ab'yathar, and the heads of the fathers' of the ka'ahn'ym (priests) and of the Lu'ym, one fathers' house being taken for AL'azar, and one taken for Aya'thamar.

7 Now the first lot came forth to Yahu’yara’yab, the second to Yada’Yah,

17 the twenty and first to Yaka’yan, the twenty and second to Gamul (Gamool),

18 the twenty and third to Dal’Yahu, the twenty and fourth to Ma’aza’Yahu.

19 This was the ordering of them in their service, to come into the House of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) according to the ordinance to them by A'haran their father, as 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), The ALUAH OF Yashar'AL commanded him.

20 And the rest of sons of Lu'ya: For the sons of Am'ram, Shuba’AL, for the sons of Shuba’AL, Yakhad’Yahu.

21 For Rakhaba'Yah: for the sons of Rakhaba'Yah, Yasha’Yah the chief.

23 And sons: Yara'Yahu, Amara'Yah the second, Ya'Khaza'ya'AL the third, Yaqam'am the fourth.

29 For Qayash, sons of Qayash: Ya'rakham'AL.

30 And sons of Mush'ya (Moosh'ya): Makhal'ya, and Adar, and Yara'ya'muth . These were sons of the Lu'ym for their fathers' houses.

31 And these also cast lots even as their brothers sons of A'haran to the face of Dau'yad the king, and Tsaduq, and Akh'ya'malak, and the heads of the fathers' of the ka'ahn'ym (priests), and of the Lu'ym, the fathers' of the chief even as those of his younger brother.

6 All these were under the hands of their father for song in the house of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), with cymbals, stringed instruments, and harps, for the service of the house of ALUAH: Asap, and Yadu'thun (Yadu'thoon), and Ha'yaman under the hand of the king.

7 And the number of them, with their brothers who were instructed in singing to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), even all who were skillful, was two hundred, eighty and eight.

2 And for the sons of Ma'shalam'Yahu: Zakara'Yahu the firstborn, Yada'ya'AL the second, Zabad'Yahu the third, Yathan’ya’AL the fourth,

3 Ayalam the fifth, Yahu’khanan the sixth, AL’Yahu’ayan’ya the seventh.

4 And for the sons of Abad-Adam: Shama'Yah the firstborn, Yahu’zabad the second, Yahu'akh the third, and Shakar the fourth, and Nathan'AL the fifth,

5 Am’ya’AL the sixth, Ya'shasha'kar the seventh, Pa’al’tha’ya the eighth, for ALUAH Barak him.

6 And to Shama'Yah his son were sons born, who ruled over the house of their father, for they were mighty men of valor.

7 Sons of Shama'Yah: Athan'ya, and Rapa'AL, and A’u’bad, AL’zabad, whose brothers were valiant men, AL’Yahu, and Samak’Yahu.

8 All these were of sons of Abad-Adam: They and their sons and their brothers, able men in strength for the service, sixty and two of Abad-Adam.

9 And Ma'shalam'Yahu had sons and brothers, valiant men, eighteen.

10 Also Khasah, from the children of Marara'ya, had sons: Shamara'ya the chief, for though he was not the firstborn, yet his father made him chief,

11 Khalaqa'Yahu the second, Tabal’Yahu the third, Zakara'Yahu the fourth: All the sons and brothers of Khasah were thirteen.

12 To these were the divisions of the doorkeepers, even of the chief men, having offices like their brothers, to serve in the House of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH).

13 And they cast lots, the small as well as the great, according to their fathers' houses, for every gate.

14 And the lot eastward fell to Shalam’Yahu. Then for Zakara'Yahu his son, a discerned counselor, they cast lots, and his lot came out northward.

15 To Abad-Adam southward, and to his sons the storehouse.

16 To Shapa’ym and Khasah westward, by the gate of Shalak’ath, at the causeway that goes up, watch against watch.

19 These were the divisions of the doorkeepers, of sons of the Qarakh'ym, and of sons of Marara'ya.

20 And of the Lu'ym, Akh'Yah was over the treasures of the house of ALUAH, and over the treasures of the made apart gifts.

21 Sons of Ladan, sons of the Gar'shan'ya belonging to Ladan, the heads of the fathers' belonging to Ladan the Gar'shan’ya: Ya'khaya'AL’ya.

22 Sons of Ya'khaya'AL’ya: Zatham, and Yahu'AL his brother, over the treasures of the House of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH).

23 For the Am'ram’ya, of the Ya'tsa'ahr’ya, of the Kha'brun’ya, of the Aza'ya'AL’ya:

24 and Shabu'AL son of Gar'shum (Gar'shoom), son of Mashah, was ruler over the treasures.

25 And his brothers: For AL'ya'azar, Rakhaba'Yah his son, and Yasha'Yahu his son, and Yaram his son, and Zakara'ya his son, and Shalam'uth his son.

26 This Shalam'uth  and his brothers were over all the treasures of the made apart gifts, which Dau'yad the king, and the heads of the fathers', the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the army, had dedicated.

27 From the plunder won in battles did they dedicate to repair the House of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH).

28 And all that Shamu'AL the seer, and Sha'ul son of Qayash, and Ab'nar son of Nar, and Yahu'ab son of Tsaru'Yah, had dedicated, whoever had dedicated anything, it was under the hand of Shalam'uth , and of his brothers.

29 For the Ya'tsa'ahr’ya, Kanan'Yahu and his sons were for the outward work over Yashar'AL, for officers and judges.

30 For the Kha'brun’ya, Khashab'Yahu and his brothers, men of valor, a thousand seven hundred, had the oversight of Yashar'AL beyond the Yardan westward, for all the work of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), and for the service of the king.

31 For the Kha'brun’ya was Yara’Yah the chief, even of the Kha'brun’ya, according to their generations by fathers'. In the fortieth year of the reign of Dau'yad they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valor at Ya’aza’yar of Gal'ad.

32 And his brothers, men of valor, were two thousand seven hundred, heads of fathers', whom king Dau'yad made overseers over the Rauban'ya, and the Gad’ya, and the half tribe of the Mana’sha’ya, for every matter pertaining to ALUAH, and for the affairs of the king.

CHAPTER 27

1 Now the children of Yashar'AL after their number, the heads of fathers' and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and their officers who served the king, in any matter of the divisions which came in and went out month by month throughout all the months of the year—of every division were twenty and four thousand.

2 Over the first division for the first month was Yashab'am son of Zabad’ya’AL: and in his division were twenty and four thousand.

16 And over the tribes of Yashar'AL: For the Rauban'ya was AL'ya'azar son of Zakara'ya the ruler: for the Shama’un’ya Shapata’Yahu son of Makah:

17 For Lu'ya, Khashab'Yah son of Kamu’AL: For A'haran, Tsaduq:

22 For Dan, Azar’AL son of Ya’rakham. These were the captains of the tribes of Yashar'AL.

23 But Dau'yad did not take the number of them from twenty years old and under, because 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) said He would increase Yashar'AL like the stars of the sky.

24 Yahu'ab son of Tsaru'Yah began to number, but did not finish, and there came wrath for this on Yashar'AL, neither was the number put into the account in the chronicles of King Dau'yad.

25 And over the king's treasures was Aza'muth son of Ad’ya’AL: And over the treasures in the fields, in the cities, and in the villages, and in the towers, was Yahu'nathan son of Aza’Yahu:

33 And Akh'ya'thapal was the king's counselor: And Khush’ya (Khoosh’ya) the Arak’ya was the king's friend:

34 And after Akh'ya'thapal was Yahu'yada son of Ban'Yahu, and Ab'yathar: And the captain of the king's army was Yahu'ab.

CHAPTER 28

1 And Dau'yad assembled all the princes of Yashar'AL, the princes of the tribes, and the captains of the companies who served the king by division, and the captains of thousands, and the captains of hundreds, and the rulers over all the substance and possessions of the king and of his sons, with the officers, and the mighty men, even all the mighty men of valor, to Yaru'shalam.

2 Then Dau'yad the king stood up on his feet and said, "Hear me, my brothers, and my people! As for me, it was in my heart to build a House of rest for the Ark of the Bar'yath (covenant) of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), and for the footstool of our ALUAH, and I had prepared for the building.

3 But ALUAH said to me, 'You shall not build a House for My Name, because you are a man of war, and have shed blood.'

4 However 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), The ALUAH OF Yashar'AL, chose me out of all the house of my father to be king over Yashar'AL forever. For He has chosen Yahudah to be prince, and in the house of Yahudah, the house of my father, and among sons of my father He took pleasure in me to make me king over all Yashar'AL.

5 And from all my sons, for 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) has given me many sons, He has chosen Shalamah my son to sit on the throne of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH)'s reign over Yashar'AL.

6 And He said to me, 'Shalamah your son shall build My House and My courts, for I have chosen him to be My son, and I will be his Father.

7 And I will establish his reign forever, if he continues to do My commandments and My ordinances, as at this day.'

8 Now therefore, in the sight of all Yashar'AL, the assembly of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), and in the audience of our ALUAH, observe and seek out all the commandments of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) Your ALUAH, that you possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children after you forever.

9 And you, Shalamah my son, know the ALUAH of your father, and serve Him with a complete heart and with a willing mind, for 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you, but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.

10 Take heed now, for 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) has chosen you to build a House for the Made Apart Place. Be strong and do it."

11 Then Dau'yad gave to Shalamah his son the pattern of the porch, and of its houses, and of its treasuries, and of the upper rooms of it, and of the inner rooms of it, and of the place of the atonement cover,

12 And the pattern of all that he had by The RUKH, for the courts of the house of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), and for all the surrounding rooms, for the treasuries of the house of ALUAH, and for the treasuries of the made apart gifts,

13 And for the divisions of the ka'ahn'ym (priests) and the Lu'ym, and for all the work of the service of the house of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), and for all the vessels of service in the house of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH),

14 Gold by weight for the gold, for all vessels of every kind of service, for all the vessels of silver by weight, for all vessels of every kind of service,

15 And by weight also for the lampstands of gold, and for its lamps, of gold, by weight for every lampstand and for its lamps, and for the lampstands of silver, by weight for lampstand and for its lamps, according to the use of every lampstand,

16 And the gold by weight for the tables of show bread, for every table, and silver for the tables of silver,

17 And the forks, and the basins, and the cups, of pure gold, and for the golden bowls by weight for every bowl, and for the silver bowls by weight for every bowl,

18 And for the altar of incense refined gold by weight, and gold for the pattern of the chariot, the karub'ym to spread out and covered the Ark of the Bar'yath (covenant) of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH).

19 All in writing from the Hand of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), unto me the understanding, all the works of this pattern."

20 And Dau'yad said to Shalamah his son, "Be strong and courageous, and do it. Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) ALUAH, even My ALUAH, is with you. He will not fail you, nor forsake you, until all the work for the service of the House of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) is completed.

21 And behold, there are the divisions of the ka'ahn'ym (priests) and the Lu'ym, for all the service of the House of ALUAH. And there shall be with you in all kinds of work every willing man who has skill, for any kind of service. Also the captains and all the people will be entirely at your command."

CHAPTER 29

1 And Dau'yad the king said to all the assembly, "Shalamah my son, whom alone ALUAH has chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great, for the palace is not for man, but for 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) ALUAH.

2 Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my ALUAH the gold for the gold, and the silver for the silver, and the bronze for the bronze, the iron for the iron, and wood for the wood, onyx stones, and setting, stones for inlaid work, and of various colors, and all kinds of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.

3 And also, because I have placed my affection on the House of my ALUAH, since I have a treasure of my own of gold and silver, I give it to the House of My ALUAH, over and above all that I have prepared for the Made Apart House,

4 even three thousand talents of gold, from the gold of A’u’payar (A’oo’payar), and seven thousand talents of refined silver to overlay the walls of the houses,

5 To gold for the gold, and of silver for the silver, and for all kinds of work by the hands of artificers. Who then offers willingly to make himself apart this day to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH)?"

6 Then the princes of the fathers', and the princes of the tribes of Yashar'AL, and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers over the king's work, offered willingly,

7 And they gave for the service of the house of ALUAH of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand darics, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of bronze eighteen thousand talents, and of iron a hundred thousand talents.

8 And they with whom stones were found gave them to the treasure of the house of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), under the hand of Ya'khaya'AL the Gar'shan’ya.

9 Then the people rejoiced, because they offered willingly, because with a complete heart they offered willingly to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH): And Dau'yad the king also rejoiced with great joy.

10 Therefore Dau'yad Barak 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) to the eyes of all the assembly, and Dau'yad said, “Baruk Are You, O 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), The ALUAH OF Yashar'AL Our Father, from forever and ever.

11 Yours, O 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), is the greatness, and the power, and the esteem, and the splendor, and the beauty! For all that is in the shama'ym and in the earth is Yours. Yours is the reign, O 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), and You are exalted as head above all.

12 And the riches and the splendor come from You, and You rule over all, and in Your hand is power and might, and it is in Your hand to make great, and to give strength to all.

13 Now therefore, Our ALUAH, we thank You and praise Your Splendid Name.

14 But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all comes from You, and of Your own have we given You.

15 For we are strangers to Your Face, and foreigners, as all our fathers were. Our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no remaining.

16 O 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) Our ALUAH, all this store that we have prepared to build You a House for Your Made Apart Name comes from Your hand, and is all Your own.

17 And I know, My ALUAH, that You try the heart, and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these. Now have I seen with joy Your people that are found here, offer willingly to You.

18 O 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), The ALUAH of Abara'ahm, of Ya'tsakhaq, and of Yashar'AL our fathers, keep this forever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of Your people, and prepare their heart for You,

19 And give to Shalamah my son a complete heart to guard Your commandments, Your witnesses, and Your statutes, and to do all, and to build the Palace that I have made provision."

20 And Dau'yad said to all the assembly, "Now Barak 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) Your ALUAH!" And all the assembly Barak 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), The ALUAH of their fathers, and bowed down their heads and prostrated themselves to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) and the king.

21 And they offered slaughterings to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), and offered burnt offerings to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH), on the next day after that day, even one thousand bulls, one thousand rams, and one thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and slaughterings in abundance for all Yashar'AL,

22 And ate and drank to the face of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) on that day with great gladness. And they made Shalamah son of Dau'yad king the second time, and anointed him to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) to be prince, and Tsaduq to be ka'ahn (priest).

23 Then Shalamah sat on the throne of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) as king instead of Dau'yad his father, and prospered, and all Yashar'AL obeyed him.

24 And all the princes, the mighty men, and also all of sons of king Dau'yad submitted themselves to Shalamah the king.

25 And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YAHUAH) exalted Shalamah exceedingly in the sight of all Yashar'AL, and bestowed on him such royal beauty as had not been on any king before him in Yashar'AL.

26 Now Dau'yad son of Yasha'ya reigned over all Yashar'AL.

27 And the days that he reigned over Yashar'AL was forty years: He reigned seven years in Kha'brun , and thirty and three reigned he in Yaru'shalam.

28 And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and splendor: And Shalamah his son reigned in his place.

29 Now the acts of Dau'yad the king, first and last, behold, they are written in the words of Shamu'AL the seer, and in the words of Nathan the nab’ya (prophet), and in the words of Gad the seer,

30 with all his reign and his might, and the times that passed over him, and over Yashar'AL, and over all the reigns of the lands.
